Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Jane Walker, 93, of Louisiana, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Missouri. The Rev. Tom Day will officiate. Burial will be at the Jordan-Buffalo Cemetery near Louisiana, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Walker passed away, surrounded by her family, on November 27, 2011 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri.
She was born February 17, 1918 in Whiteside, Missouri to John and Maude Colbert Luck. She married Walter Walker on July 11, 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1978.
She is survived by 3 children, Larry and JoAnn Walker of Bowling Green, Missouri, Cheryl and Paul Rosenburg, and Debbie and Gary Wagner of Louisiana, Missouri, 8 grandchildren, Chrystal Walker, Devlon and Erica Walker, Kelly and Stephen Mills, Craig and Liz Rosenburg, Kristina and Brandon Brazier, Nikki and Chad Christ, Gary and Angie Wagner, and Danielle Wagner. Helen loved and enjoyed her 14 great grandchildren, Kayla Walker and Ryan Tolbert, Damian and Riley Walker, Stephanie Mills, Ashten Dugan and Michael Thomas, Brant Dugan, Patricia and Roy Rosenburg, Allie Brazier, Brennon Carr, Brandi Christ, Keri, Colin, and Michael Wagner, and 2 great great grandchildren, Matty Tolbert and Karrah Thomas.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Henry Luck, 5 sisters, Laura Luck, Connie Halley, Osie Clem, Loretta Hill, and Roberta Colbert, 1 grandson, Ryan Victor, and 3 great grandsons, Benton Dean and Matthew Damian Frank-Walker, and Jeremy Wagner.
Helen liked to work and often said, "Hard work never killed anyone." She Loved working with all animals, but most of all she loved her family. She will always be remembered with love and missed greatly.
