Rebecca Lynn Haas, 42, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the First Baptist Church in Torrington with Pastor Rick McGraw officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. Memorials may be made to the Goshen Care Center Alzheimer’s Unit. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rebecca was born September 7, 1969, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska the daughter of Clifford and Lue (Starr) Hickman. She grew up and went to school in Torrington. In 1997, she married Roger Haas and the couple moved to Cheyenne. After attending school at EWC and LCCC, Rebecca graduated from the University of Wyoming. She worked in Cheyenne at Magic City as a case manager. In February 2011, she started a new job working for Lucy Russle as a case manager for the developmentally disabled. Rebecca was a people person, she loved to be around friends and family. She also liked collecting bears, riding motorcycles when she was younger and she was an avid Yankees and Bears fan.
Survivors include her husband Roger Haas of Cheyenne; her son Casey Tapster of Madison, Wisconsin; her parents Cliff and Lue Hickman of Torrington; her sister Kathy Woyak of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; her brother Chester Freouf of Denver, Colorado; her cousin Carol Grooms of Torrington; her parents-in-law Gary and Micki Haas of Torrington; her sister-in-law Devynn Loya of Torrington; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her grandparents Kenny and Ida Moll and Edward and Ruby Hickman; her nephew Andre Woyak; her aunt Pat Dixon and her uncle Rocky Sheriff.
