Bill G. Boyd, 82, of New Blaine, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 in Charleston, Arkansas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Delaware, the council Oaks of Dardanelle, the Amarito Grotto Club, and a 32nd degree Mason KCCH. His hobbies included woodworking and wine making.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran and was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation, the Victory Medal, The American Campaign Medal, The Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, and two stars the Philippine Liberation and the Campaign Ribbon.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements will be under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lois Dale Boyd; two daughters; Mary and her husband Jim Rybak of Kimball, South Dakota, Jonnita and her husband Bernard Terbieten of Fort Smith; two sons: Dale Boyd of Mulberry and Robert Schoen and wife Paula of Central City, Arkansas; two sisters: Hildred Gill and Jody Seta both of California; thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Taylor, Ben Cox, Grady Clopton, Dustin Clopton, Andrew Moore and Ben Terbieten.
Family will visit with friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.
