Carl Junior Williams, 84, of Martinsville, IL passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at his home. He was born December 20, 1927, in Paris, IL, the son of Roy Williams and Gertrude Hickle Williams. On September 12, 1964, he married Ramona Lee Elliott. She passed away on January 24, 2008.
Survivors include son, Kirby Williams of Martinsville, IL; daughter, Carla Kay Jean of Martinsville, IL; brother, Dean Williams of Florida; sisters, Dorothy Janney of Casey, IL; Ella Marie Wallace of Livingston, IL; Melva Bell of Hume, IL and Mary Richardson of Casey, IL; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Yvonne Carpenter; son, Roger Allen Williams; brothers, Earl, Allen & Don Williams; sister, Beulah Tomasino; grandson, George Carpenter and infant grandson, Jai Snedeker.
Carl was a retired self-employed farmer and had previously worked on pipeline construction until 1989. He was a member of the Willow Creek Church and the Clark County Farm Bureau.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Greenwell Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Small officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2011 at the Greenwell Funeral Home, 30 N. Washington St., Martinsville, IL.
