Weekend retreats providing one on one grief counseling and therapeutic activities for children ages 6-16 who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling, grandparent, or friend. These retreats are at no cost to the campers. The Lion's Club Camp, where the retreats are held, is located in Rosholt, Wisconsin.

Good Grief- LIving with Loss
This is a monthly grief support group for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one. These groups provide a caring community for learning about grief, finding support, sharing memories, and identifying feelings.

Services Offered: Bereavement counseling and support group for families who have lost an infant (up to 12 months old), due to a sudden and unexpected cause. Affiliated with Children's Hospital of Milwaukee. Hmong interpreter is available. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fees: Free of Charge Accommodations for Disabilities: Building is free from steps and curbs. Doorways and hallways are at least 36" wide. Restrooms and elevators accommodate wheelchairs. Someone is available to read information one-on-one with clients. Service Area: Northern and Central Wisconsin.

A four-week series: Understanding Grief Work-a class for the seasoned griever who wants to define life and purpose
Society has dismissed your grief as "finished"; but you have yet to reconcile with the final act of letting go. Perhaps it doesn't hurt as much any more, but you still may feel lost in memories. You may be struggling with holding on to "who" and "what" you once loved and wondering what else you should be doing with your life. In this series, participants are guided through the tasks of grief by evaluating the meaning of their loss, builing new identities, and making positive choices for healing.

Services Offered: A self-help group offering friendship, understanding, support and help to bereaved parents. Meeting offers time for sharing, support, speakers, videos and discussions. A separate Sibling Group meets at the same time as the Parent Group. It provides a safe, caring and understanding place where bereaved siblings (Age 13 through adult) can bring their pain and the complexity of their loss. The goal is to help the surviving siblings understand the grief process and how it affects their family and themselves after the death of a brother or sister. There is also a lending library of grief recovery books.
