Dorleen A. Sheets, 91 of Wausau, formerly of Applegate Terrace, died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Dorleen was born on July 30, 1915 to the late Owen and Grace (Gibson) Burdett in Kansas. Dorleen graduated from Owen High School in 1933. After graduation she moved to Chicago where she lived until 1954. At that time she moved to California where she met her late husband, John Sheets. They married on January 1, 1972 in Garden Grove, CA. He preceded her in death in 1975. They enjoyed camping together in Colorado. Dorleen also enjoyed ballroom dancing and bowling. She was an operator for Bell Telephone.
Survivors include two nephews, Robert and Patrick Burdett of Wausau, one niece, Robin (Tom) Wulk of Hatley, and one sister-in-law, Lorraine Burdett of Weston. She will also be sadly missed by all of her extended family.
