CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Roger James Hale, 53, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at his home.
He was born in Lebanon, Virginia; son of the late Paul and Liddia Belle Lampkins Hale. He was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Hale. He graduated from Castlewood High School in 1974.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Hale; two daughters, Amanda Hale and Heather Hale both of the home; one brother, Wes Hale and wife, Ruth of Bristol, Virginia; one niece, Krista Elder of Dante, Virginia; and three nephews, Kevin Hale of Blountville, Tennessee, Gary Hale of Castlewood, Virginia, and Anthony Hale of Castlewood, Virginia.
Funeral Services for Roger James Hale will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Buddy Burke officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Milton, Gary Halloway, Ray Hammons, Ernie Hurd, Emmitt Boothe, and Jim Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Oak Helbert, Giles Boothe, Larkin Boothe, and James Hicks.
