CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA - Lola P. Meade, 88, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Russell County, Virginia; daughter of the late Ida Stapleton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Meade; and two sons, Raymond Meade and Fred Meade.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Phillips and husband, Bob of Castlewood, Virginia; one son, Ralph Meade and wife, Ruby of Castlewood, Virginia; one sister, Madge Salyers of Kingsport, Tennessee; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Lola P. Meade will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. G. W. White and Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 in Meade Cemetery, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Gordon Meade, Tommy Meade, Junior Meade, Oakley Meade, Wayne Meade, and Harold Meade. Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of House of Prayer in Nickelsville.
