CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Robert James Jessee, 68, left this world to be with his Lord and Savior to be in the presence of God’s glory on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Wellmont – Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee.
He was born in Lebanon, Virginia; son of the late Romey and Beulah Austin Jessee. He was preceded in death by one brother, William R. Jessee. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Morning Star Full Gospel Church in Castlewood, Virginia. The family wishes to publicly give thanks to God for such a wonderful husband, dad, and grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Dorothea Jessee; four sons, Rick J. Jessee and wife, Dina L. of Louisburg, North Carolina, Manfred R. Jessee and wife, Donna Jo of Kingsport, Tennessee, Scott A. Jessee and wife, Kristean Anne of Castlewood, Virginia, and Robert A. Jessee and wife, Rebecca D. of Athens, Ohio; one brother, Roger E. Jessee of Castlewood, Virginia; while here on earth the Lord blessed him with ten wonderful grandchildren and one great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service for Robert James Jessee will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Morning Star Full Gospel Church, Castlewood, Virginia with son, Rick J. Jessee, Rev. Woody Scott, and Rev. Marvin Cain.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
