CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA - Ted E. Campbell, 70, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Russell County, Virginia; son of the late Dewitt and Gladys Castle Campbell. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Campbell; and one grandson, Nathan Campbell. He was a retired miner and a member of the Lakeview Church.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Kathryn Campbell: twin daughters, Mary Sue Thomas and husband, Buddy of Castlewood, Virginia and Martha Ann Steele and husband, Billy of Castlewood, Virginia; four granddaughters, Katie Addington and husband, Ethan, Kelly Steele, Carrie Thomas, and Anna Thomas all of Castlewood, Virginia; one sister, Judy Smith and husband, Donnie of Castlewood, Virginia; two brothers, Jim Campbell and wife, Shirley of Castlewood, Virginia and Mike Campbell and wife, Sheree of Castlewood, Virginia; mother-in-law, Dorothy Bostic of Castlewood, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Ted E. Campbell will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Darryl Baker, Rev. Gary Crum, Rev. Henry Wayne Meade, Rev. James Shortt, and Rev. Guy Elam officiating. Interment will follow in Grassy Creek Cemetery, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Bobby Campbell, Don Campbell, Paul Jessee, H. C. Burton, Bobby E. Osborne, Billy Joe Osborne, Henry Osborne, and David Osborne. Honorary Pallbearers will be men of Lakeview Church, men of Grassy Creek Church, W. B. Salyer, Bernard Hawkins, and Roger Jessee.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia. Flowers will be appreciated, but memorials may be made to Lakeview Church, c/o Bill Hartsock, 3161 South 71, Castlewood, Virginia 24224.
