Virgie Wilson Sweesy,
age 72, of Glade Spring, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a native of Washington County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Bert and Bertha Wilson. She had lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia for many years prior to moving back to Washington County, Virginia in 1991. She was a member of the V.F.W. ladies auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Willie Faye Pinkston; and two brothers, Howard Edward Wilson and John Wayne Wilson. She is survived by two daughters, Seattina Landreth and her husband, David, of Newport, Tennessee, and Norene Nesbitt Brown of Glade Spring, Virginia; one son, Norman Wayne “Butch” Nesbitt, Jr. of Glade Spring, Virginia; two sisters, Frances M. Stewart and Dorothy W. Cason both of Glade Spring, Virginia; one brother, Donald Lee Wilson and his wife, Aligria, of Mountain City, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Christopher West, Laurina Nesbitt and her fiancé, Oryan L. Testerman, Norman Wayne Nesbitt, III, and Dustin Pharr Nesbitt; three great grandchildren, Leland Trivitt, Haydin Nesbitt, and Loryanna “Grace” Testerman; life long friend, Brenda Watson of Damascus, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the graveside at Widener Valley Community Cemetery in Glade Spring, Virginia with Mr. Denver Doss officiating.
