Glenna Marie Odum, 82, of Bristol, died on Wednesday December 14, 2011 at home. She was a daughter of the late Herbert Carroll and Ora Mitchell Carroll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Richard Odum; sisters, Barbara Ray, Mildred Edwards, and Wanda Pechacek; brothers, Dexter Carroll and Bennie Carroll.
A native of Bristol, she retired as a supervisor from Holston Garment. She attended First Church of the Nazarene under the pastor of the late Rev. Justin Nave.
Glenna is survived by sister, Lenna Simmons; brother, Charles Carroll; special niece Jenger Dixon and husband Ted; special friend, Dot Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, December 16, 2011 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2011 in the Heritage Chapel of Memories at Glenwood Cemetery.
The committal service and interment will be private. Honorary pallbearers will be Dee Carrier, Greg Hyder, Mark Dixon, Allen Dixon and Hugh Powers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Stephen Burke, Dr. Emory Robinette, Dr. Craig Rockett III, DDS, Caris Healthcare and Lincare.
