Ines Anderson Spriggs, 92, of Bluff City, Tennessee died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at her home.
She was born in Dickenson County Virginia, a daughter of the late Arthur and Maggie Anderson. She was the widow of Rev. Gaylord “Junior” Spriggs. She operated a small beauty shop in her home for many years in the Big Ridge section of Dickenson County where she was a longtime member of Splashdam Free Will Baptist Church. She moved to the Bristol area in 1971. She was a member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in recent years and loved her church family. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. However, she would rather have been at the lake on a sunny day catching more fish than her husband, who was her loyal fishing buddy.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the Amedisys Hospice nurses, Rochelle and Linda who always brought a smile to her face and also to her special friends Joe and Mary Jo Snyder for all of their kind deeds and visits.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Koehler and her husband Richard of Palm Harbor, Florida; a son Gary “Butch” Spriggs of the home; four grandchildren, Susan Koehler-Machlus and her husband Scot, Mary Ann Easton and her husband Trevor; David Koehler and his wife Laurie, all of Florida; and Matthew Spriggs of the home; five great grandchildren, all of Florida; one brother, Arthur “Benny” Anderson and one sister Lois Dalinowski, both of Michigan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
