Kermit Peaceful Eagle Manis, age 57, of Bluff City passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Kingsport, TN to Kermit Harold Manis and the late Gladys Pauline Barrett Manis. He was preceded in death by his mother and a son, Gale Manis. Mr. Manis was of the Baptist Faith and Vice Chief of the First Nation Chicamauga Tribe.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Sandra Manis of the home; a daughter, Christine Bledsoe and husband, Glen of Kingsport; grandchildren, Christopher Bledsoe and Tyler Bledsoe; a sister, Diane Williams of Fall Branch; a brother, Darrell Manis of Kingsport; his step mother, Glenna Manis; step brothers, Jeff Bledsoe of Kingsport and Mike Bledsoe and wife Pat of Fall Branch. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be conducted 7:00 PM Sunday, April 1, 2012 at TetrickFuneral Home, Bluff City Chapel with Rev. Earnest Steffey officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM prior to the service in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home.
The graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 AM Monday, April 2, 2012 in Sunrise Cemetery. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:55 AM Monday.
