Gary William Delph, Sr., 49 of Jonesborough, passed away on December 13, 2008 in Bristol, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Willie William and Eva Spears Delph.
Gary was a diesel mechanic with Vic Davis Construction. He was a member of Tri-Cities Baptist Church in Gray. A great servant of the Lord, Gary enjoyed helping others and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Day.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Delph of Jonesborough; son, Gary Delph, Jr. and wife Amanda of Gray; three sisters, Linda Alsept and husband Clayton of Melbourne, Florida, Imelda Smith and husband, Michael of Melbourne, Florida, Judy Fraley and husband John of Loudenville, Ohio; brothers, Michael Delph and wife Sandy of Gray, Harold Delph of Gray, Bob Delph of Gray; two grandchildren, Blake Delph and Kaelyn Delph; nieces and nephews, Christy Manning, Stephen Bentley, Joseph Delph, Michael, Misty and Jason Alsept, Jonathan and Cassandra Smith, Brian, Johnny and Artie Fraley; three great-nieces and nephews, Adam Michael Manning, Haley Delph and Cooper Delph and many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 8:00pm in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm. Burial and graveside services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday at Washington County Memory Gardens. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15am.
