When her children were younger and the men were in the fields, Livina, her sisters and their families would get together for different bees of sorts, raking bees, butchering bees, exc., taking turns at everybody's houses sharing the work. Livina worked many years at the Glenwood Hospital as laundry aid and kitchen cook up until her retirement. Livina and Willie shared 54 years of marriage before Willie passed away September 15, 1994. After Willie's death, she moved into Lowry and enjoyed the fellowship of friends and morning coffee get-togethers. Livina enjoyed her family dearly and always took the time to do fun things cherishing each moment. Due to Alzheimer's she moved into and made her home at the Glenwood Retirement Village in 2001.
