Funeral services for Neil Scott Storm were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wadena with Pastor Jeff Scoggins presiding. Neil died at the age of 44 years on April 25, 2012 at his home in rural Bertha surrounded by his loved ones.
Neil was born December 29, 1967 in Lancaster, CA, the son of Darlene and Walter Cherry. He went to high school at San Marcus High in Santa Monica, CA. He married Daisy Harnack on April 14, 2009 in San Antonio, TX. Together they lived in San Antonio until Neil’s health made it necessary to move to Bertha in March of this year to be closer to the loving help that Daisy’s family could provide.
Neil spent many years as a long haul truck driver. He had a love for all animals. For a time, he raised wolves and chickens. He also had a passion for gardening and could grow anything.
Neil was preceded in death by his father Walter Cherry; an infant brother Allen Cherry; and his young daughter Alicia.
He is survived by his wife Daisy Storm; mother Darlene Booth; sister Gwyneth Warren; brothers Brian Cherry and Ron Booth; nieces Tracy (Jason) Martin and Jennifer (William) Logan; and several great & great-great nephews & nieces.
Pallbearers were David Harnack, Ben Harnack, Aaron Beil, Duane Trana, Allen Parks and Darryl Verderbruggen.
Burial took place at Bonar Cemetery in Bertha.
