TURNER, Mr. Eddie - Age 44, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Eld. Elvin McKenny, officiating, Bishop M.L. Albert, presiding. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Friday. Mr. Turner will lie in state the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Eddie Dewayne Turner was born October 8, 1967 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Eddie Lee and Nodie Mae Turner. Eddie resided in Flint and was a member of Mt. Sinai Deliverance Apostolic Church. He attended Northwestern High School. Eddie enjoyed working on cars, electrical work, mechanical work and carpentry. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with his children. Eddie loved to have fun and laugh. He took pride in protecting his family.
Mr. Eddie D. Turner leaves to cherish his memory: fiancée, Tamika Mangham; 3 daughters, Ashley Turner, Raquadri Hampton and Kajaida Turner; 2 sons, Eddie Dewayne Turner, Jr. and Antonio Mangham; grandson, Kayden Dewayne Turner of Swartz Creek, MI; 8 sisters, Brenda (Jerry) Carter, Angela (Antonio) Forte, Vanessa Turner, Joyce Moore, Angel Turner, Cocorya Turner, Shakita (Gary) Hicks of Atlanta, GA and Mya Turner; 5 brothers, Marcus, Tracey, Kenyatta and Maurice Turner and Dennis Smith; 2 aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Mr. Sam Cole, Mr. Kem Ward and Mr. Odan Lane.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his son, Quavon Turner; parents, Eddie and Noddie Turner; grandparents, Frank and Earnestine Jefferson, Alonzo and Mary Richardson; nephew, Tyreese Turner; and great-nephew, Jordan Underwood.
