ALEXANDER, Ms. Beulah - Age 50, loving and beloved sister, aunt, and friend, transitioned to her heavenly home, Thursday, September 20, 2012 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Pastor Danyiel Griffin, officiating. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Ms. Alexander will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Ms. Beulah Alexander was born December 5, 1961 in Red Bay, Alabama, the daughter of Buford, Sr. and Lorene Alexander. She relocated with her family to Flint, Michigan in 1962, where she attended Flint Public Schools. Beulah was a 1980 Honors graduate of Northern High School. After graduating high school, Beulah attended Ross Medical School, where she received her license as a Medical Assistant. She was employed at Hurley Medical Center until 1987. In 1987, Beulah began her employment at University of Michigan-Flint Campus, where she was currently the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Education. Beulah enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends. She also loved her job.
Ms. Beulah Ann Alexander leaves to cherish her many precious memories: 2 sisters, Noreen Glover of Flint and Marjorie Alexander of Burton, MI; 2 nephews, Andrae Alexander and Percy Glover; niece, Gale Glover; 2 great nephews, Jordan and Caleb; 2 great nieces, Jasmine and Alicia; many dear and special friends including Kellie Davis, Kenya Reddic, Angela Fox, Robert Barnett and the University of Michigan family.
Ms. Alexander was joyously greeted at Heaven’s door by devoted parents, Buford, Sr. and Lorene Alexander; 2 loving brothers, Buford, Jr. and William Lee Alexander; and precious and loving sister, Regina Lee Alexander.
