Bryan David Miller age 82, of Clare, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 17, at Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant. He was born the son of Bryan and Mary Jane (Mavis) Miller on June 13, 1928, near Clare. He married Shirley Dull on June 27, 1948 in Beaverton. Bryan D. had been the Sales Manager at Clare Farm Equipment.. He was a member of the Clare United Methodist Church, The Farm Bureau, the John Q. Look Masonic Lodge in Clare, and had been a past member of the Clare Rotary Club. He and Shirley wintered in Florida at the Southern Dunes in Haines City. During the winters they attended the Haines City United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Shirley, his son Stephen and Nancy Marie Miller of Kentwood, daughter Ann Marie and Herberth Alvarado of Clare, his Granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Miller, his sister, Lillian Athey , sisters-in-law, Lorraine Shaun, Rilla Seibt, Marye Miller, and Alice Wood, and brother-in-law Lewis and Maryann Dull. Bryan D. was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Adam Bryan Miller, his brother, Lewis, an infant sister, half brother, Clifford Wood and his brother-in-law Jim Athey.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 11 AM from the Clare United Methodist Church with his pastor, Rev. Dennis Bromley officiating. Burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Friends may meet with his family on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Clare United Methodist Daycare Center or to Woodland Hospice.
