After a long illness, Priscilla H. Moore age 82 of Farwell; passed away on October 6, 2011. Born in Randolph, Vermont on July 16, 1929, she was the daughter of Clarence and Gladys Pitkin. Priscilla graduated from Randolph High School in 1947 and graduated from Burlington Business College in 1949 in Business Administration and Accounting. She later attended Lansing Community College and Davenport University in Lansing.
Priscilla was employed as an Accountant by the Vermont State Highway Department. In the early 1960s, she was headed to California to relocate, but landed in Michigan and found employment at the Charlotte Livestock Commission for a short time. She eventually worked for the State of Michigan in many departments until retiring early from the Michigan State Police. In 1979, she finally completed her journey to southern California. She eventually retired from the City of Pomona in California in 1990. Then she returned to Farwell. While living in Farwell, she worked for White Birch Lakes into the late 2000s.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald L. Moore, Brother Everett L. Pitkin and step-son Dwane Moore. She is survived by her son Richard Moore (Karen Cowdry), step children Ellsworth, Averill, Judy, Carroll, Granddaughter Chelsea Moore, and Sisters Lucile Meyer and Dr. Elaine Pitkin.
Priscilla had a supportive nature without judgment and was known for her kind spirit. She had a deep and abiding faith and was a member of the Clare Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Clare.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 11th, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses: 8973 South Grant Avenue, Clare, with a lunch at the Moose Lodge, 1890 East Ludington Drive, Clare.
