Memorial services for Dolores P. Wright will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Martin Crump of Family Life Church officiating. Upon her request cremation has taken place.
Mrs. Wright, age 77, of Gillette, Wyoming died at her home on Friday, August 14, 2009 due to cancer.
Dolores Wright was born on November 21, 1931 in Cedarville, Michigan the daughter of Dwight D. and Pearl (Landrey) Izzard. She was raised and educated in Cedarville. Dolores married the love of her life, William R. Wright II on July 17, 1950. The couple owned and operated Wright Trucking from 1972 to 1990, known for the last 10 years as Wredco, Inc. Dolores loved collecting all types of decorations. She enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, stamping and needle point. Taking care of her family was always the most important part of her life. Dolores was a 48 year, member of the Eastern Star, worthy matron for 2 terms, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Sundance. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Dolores is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bill Wright of Gillette, Wyoming; sons: Rodney (Joan) Wright of Milan, Missouri, William R (Sonja) Wright III of Gillette, Wyoming, Ronald (Lynn) Wright of Gillette, Wyoming and David (Evelyn) Wright of Stevensville, Montana; sister, Yvonne (Bill) McDonald of Cedarville, Michigan; brothers: Howard Craft of Gillette, Wyoming and Glen (Eileen) Izzard of Folsom, California; 5 granddaughters and 4 grandsons; 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents sister, Donna Means and brother, Clark Izzard.
