Services for former Public Works Director and Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Jack Montgomery Graham, 85, of Tyler will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Restland Cemetery Abbey Chapel in Dallas with Rev. Michael Kearns and Rev. Jim Tingle officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler.
Col. Graham passed away on July 17, 2008 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
He was born on January 18, 1923 in Dallas, Texas to the late Charles Herbert and Martha Jane Graham. Col. Graham was a 1945 graduate of Southern Methodist University and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was the former Public Works Director for the City of Fort Worth and Corpus Christi from 1966-1983. Col. Graham was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the First Christian Church in Lindale. He was actively involved with the Boys Scouts of America as a troop leader.
In addition to his parents, Col. Graham was preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Graham. He is survived by a loving family including his wife of 63 years, Doris M. Graham of Tyler, formerly of Ft. Worth, and son Richard B. Graham, also of Tyler.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 18, 2008 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, Texas 75703.
