Services for Kay McKaughan, 58, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Rhett Ansley and Rev. Christi Conway officiating. Burial will follow in Noonday Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Ms. McKaughan passed away on August 4, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was born on August 2, 1950 in De Queen, Arkansas. She graduated from Horatio High School in Horatio, Arkansas and Tyler Junior College. Kay was a former resident of Noonday where she was a member of Noonday United Methodist Church. She was employed by Dr. Joe Whetsell in Tyler. Kay had lived in Tulsa for the past eight years. She loved to paint in her spare time and especially treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, Jack Vaughn. She is survived by a loving family including her mother, Mary Jo Bartlett and husband J.D. of Horatio, Arkansas; a loving ex-husband and father of her children, Darrell McKaughan; two daughters, April DeLeon and Misty Kinnett and husband Brad, all of Noonday; six grandchildren, Lauren DeLeon, Bianca DeLeon, Jerrod DeLeon, Brett Kinnett, Cooper Kinnett, and Katiann Kinnett; two sisters, Cheri Stephens of Horatio, Arkansas and Pamela Tidwell of Dallas; and brother, Donald E. Vaughn of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Cody Donahue, Chad Stephens, Vaughn Stephens, Will Gray, Kyle Gray, and Jackie Vaughn.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 8, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
