Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 19th at 2pm, Fairwood United Methodist Church, 1712 Old Omen Road for Thomas David Lowe, with Pastors Rick Tate and George Steger officiating. Visitation will be at Stewart Family Funeral Home Monday, August 18th 6 to 8 pm.
Mr. Lowe passed Saturday, August 16th at The Hospice of East Texas Home Place. He was born June 1, 1923, Arlington, Texas, to the late C.N. and Hannah Lou Lowe. Mr. Lowe lived in Tyler, Texas since 1949.
He was retired from East Texas Seed Company and worked in the farming industry for the past 65 years. He was a member of the Texas Seed Association, Texas Lime Association, Democratic Party, and was a faithful servant at Glenwood Methodist Church in various capacities from 1949 to present. He proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He will be remembered for his humor and love for people, and constant consideration for others.
Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Louene Wiggins of Arlington, Texas. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Leslie Jo Moseley Lowe, two sons and daughter-in-laws, Jim and Judy Braswell of Gun Barrel City, and Joey and Vicki Lowe of Marietta, Oklahoma, and one daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Jody Phillips of Lindale, four granddaughters and two grandsons, six great granddaughters and one great grandson.
