Services for Arnold “Butch” Baker, age 58, are scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler with Rev. Lou Thomas officiating.
Butch passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009 in Henderson. He was born May 27, 1951 in Midland, Texas, to Arnold and Dorothy Baker. He grew up in Midland, working from an early age in his dad’s body shop. He served in the Air Force for four years. He was retired from Classic Motors in Tyler after more than 48 years in the body repair business. He married the love of his life, Paula, in 1969. She preceded him in death in February 2005. Butch loved to fish, and the stories that went with fishing. He loved the outdoors. His close companions in the last two years were his dogs, especially his favorite, Jake.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Eddie. He is survived by his sisters, Carliss Baker of McKinney and Brenda McBride of Midland; aunt, Ruthie Burchett of Midland; and two nephews, Kevin Hawkins of Arlington and Jason Baker of McAllen.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler.
