A memorial service for Edith Wickline, 95, of Tyler, formerly of Lawrenceville, GA will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home with Dr. Stuart Baskin officiating.
Interment will be held at Gwinnett Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrenceville, GA.
Mrs. Wickline died at home peacefully on February 7, 2011.
She was born November 20, 1915, the last of four daughters, to Charles and Dottie Martin Perry, in Brooklyn, WV.
She married Marlin S. Wickline in 1938 and enjoyed 66 years of a wonderful life with him. Edith was noted for her devotion to God, the United Methodist Church, and her family and friends. She served loyally in each church to which she belonged. She was presented with a lifetime membership in the Women’s Society of Christian Service (now UMW) while she lived in Cincinnati, OH.
Edith was preceded in death by her sisters, Stella, Clara and Opal; her husband Marlin; and her daughter Janet Hinson. She leaves her daughter Karen and husband Dr. James Novy of Tyler, her son Ronald P. and wife Judith Wickline of Kirkwood, MO, her son-in-law David Hinson of Lakemont, GA, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, to celebrate her life knowing that she is now free of pain and in the company of the saints who preceded her in death.
