Patsy “Brem” Crawford was born September 6, 1931 to parents W.L. “Buster” and Sybil Brem in Tyler. Patsy went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2011. Patsy is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles W. Crawford and her “forever” best friend, Martha Ann Parker. Survivors include her sister Fanny Beth McCoy and husband Buck of Cleburne, daughter Debbie Kersh and husband Randy of San Antonio, daughter Lisa Norton and husband Kyle of Austin, grandsons, Lance Kelly and wife Brooke of San Antonio, Blake Dugan of Austin and C.J. Norton of Belton.
Patsy’s life revolved around her “babies” and was proud to be known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Lynsie, Hope, Ashlie, Dalton, Eden and Connor. Each one was known as her “favorite” and the love of her life.
As a young adult she was married in Tyler and attended Central Baptist Church. Patsy later became a member of Friendly Baptist Church and made many friends. Patsy called Tyler home for almost 80 years of life. She worked at East Texas Medical Center as the Gift Shop Manager for 25 years and blessed all with her smile and great laughter.
Patsy’s favorite past time was reading mystery novels and spending time with her lap buddy “Captain Jack”. She was a huge supporter of the public libraries and the Texas Rangers baseball team.
The family wishes to thank Patsy’s special friend, Dolores Rodriguez of Austin for her care and companionship over the last several months.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Stewart Family Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held immediately following, at 10:30 AM in the Chapel with Rev. Pat Alvey officiating. Burial will be at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery following the service.
