Dean Coppin, 46, Wahpeton, ND passed away at his residence in Wahpeton on Thursday, June 17, 2010. The Memorial Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM, Monday, June 21, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Alan R. Werth officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dean was born March 5, 1964 at Hankinson, ND, the son of Russell E. and Joy A. (Hoefs) Coppin. As a child he moved with his family to Wahpeton, ND, where he attended grade school and graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1982. He worked at St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge, MN, and later for 3M in Wahpeton. He married Kathy King in Wahpeton.

Dean enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to spend time visiting with others, often sharing his many jokes with them.

Dean is survived by his son, Tanner Coppin, Hankinson; his brother and two sisters: Myron Coppin, Wahpeton; Candy Coppin, Golden, CO; Tammy (Todd) Bladow, Shakopee, MN; six nephews and nieces: Myron Coppin II, Jeremy Coppin, Lance Coppin, Miranda Coppin, Tyler Bladow and Nicole Bladow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Joy Hoefs.
