Sumner ? Myrtle Thornton Sumner, age 77, passed away February 24, 2008 in Los Angeles, California where she had resided for the last forty years. She was born in Raiford, Florida on August 1, 1930. Ms. Sumner was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Curtis Crews.
Family members included her husband, Harry Sumner; her son, David Ryan Crews; her sisters; Mazie Palmer of Jacksonville, FL and Lucille Thornton Ward (Will) of Pensacola, FL; her brother, Gene Thornton of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren: David, Jason, Matthew and Adam Crews; five very special great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a very dear friend, Jimmy Sato, and one little apple.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2:00 pm at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel with Hubert W. Chapman officiating.
