Raulerson – Edward “Ray” Raulerson, Sr., age 65 of Cuyler, Florida passed away January 31, 2012 at Acosta – Rua Center for Caring in Jacksonville, FL with family by his side. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on January 9, 1947 to the late Noah Raulerson and Ruby Connor Raulerson. Ray has been a lifelong resident of Baker County where he attended Christian Fellowship Temple. He retired after 30 years of dedicated service as a Mill Tech from Gerdeau AmeriSteel and he served his country proudly in the United States Army. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, working in his garage and helping others. He loved animals especially his dog, Rosco. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and his older baby brother, Marvin Raulerson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Melvie Jean Raulerson of Cuyler, FL; his children, Eddie (Tammy) Raulerson of Taylor, FL, Allen Raulerson of Glen St. Mary, FL, and Donna “D.D” (John) Crawford of Glen St. Mary, FL; his brother, Roger (Glenda) Raulerson of Cuyler, FL; his sisters, Annette (Lawrence) Manning of Glen St. Mary, FL, Carolyn (Robert) Manning of Macclenny, FL, and Lynn (Randall) Taylor of Cuyler, FL; his 8 grandchildren; and his 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday February 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Temple in Macclenny, FL with Pastor Tim Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Turner Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 2, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
