Hobbs- Edna Hobbs, age 85 of Macclenny, Florida passed away April 9, 2012. Edna was born in Frostproof, FL to the late Dan C. Willis and Ruth Gertrude Ward Willis on September 9, 1926. She was a life long resident of Baker County. Edna was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and tending to her flowers but most of all she enjoyed cooking for her family. She made each member of her family special dishes just for them at family events. Edna took pride in teaching her children and grandchildren life lessons of honesty and sportsmanship through winning and losing of board games. Edna was a caregiver and took care of her family and late husband in sickness and in health. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years: Oscar Floyd Hobbs; her daughter: Kathy Robertson and her 6 siblings.
Survivors include her sons, Floyd Mitchell (Brita) Hobbs of Plains, GA and John (Charlotte) Hobbs of Glen St. Mary, FL; her son-in-law, Al “Robbie” Robertson of Macclenny, FL; her grandchildren, Teresa (Gary) Manning, Bryan (Lily) Hobbs, Geri Hobbs, Lauren (Nick) Hicks, Courtney (James) Mann, Jennifer K. Harvey, and Amanda L. Robertson; and her 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at Ferreira Funeral Services with Pastor Edsel Bone officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Macclenny, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 11, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
